Children’s Book Fair, Bologna. Announcement of the Children’s Museum Award co-organized by EMA and Hands On! International with the co-operation of the International Childrens’ Book Fair of Bologna and the local new city museum, Genus Bononiae.
Presentation of the bilingual publication on the Proceedings of the Focus Group on ‘Banks and Museums Beyond Sponsorship: an overview of European Museums created by Bank Foundations’, held in Bologna on 21-22 June 2010 thanks to the Carisbo Bank Cultural Foundation.
8-9 April
DASA, Dortmund. EMA and the DASA organise a European event consisting of a Seminar and a session of presentations of the Micheletti Award candidates. The results of the 2011 Micheletti Award will be announced on the evening of 9 April in the presence of distinguished guests.
19-21 May
EU Grundtvig Project “LEM – The Learning Museum” - meeting in Cardiff.
9 June
Heritage in Motion meeting, Amsterdam: presentation of the new Award scheme devoted to multimedia for European cultural heritage promoted by Europa Nostra in co-operation with EMA.
31 July
Closing date for the 2012 Micheletti Award applications.
10-12 October
LEM Meeting in Tampere, Finland.
 
11-14 October
Hands On! International Annual Meeting, Ljubljana. On this occasion the Children’s Museum Award will be launched at the operational level.
Autumn
The 3rd Kenneth Hudson Seminar, to include presentation of the Proceedings of the 2010 Kenneth Hudson Seminar on ‘European Museums and the Crisis: the impact, the problems, the reaction’, held in Volterra, Italy on 19 November 2010 in co-operation with the Scuola Normale di Pisa.
Jan – Dec.
Co-operation between the three international courses of museology under the auspices of EMA - the Master Course in European Museology at the IULM University of Milan (Italy), the International Course of Scientific Museography of the CosmoCaixa in Barcelona (Spain) and the International School of Museology of the Museum of Recent History in Celje (Slovenia). The programme includes exchange of teachers and didactic materials and study tours.
